Prospective RHS Dance Students

 

 

The Dance Program's goal at RHS is to create a life-long appreciation for the art of dance and students that pursue dance as a career. Students will study the styles of Ballet, Jazz, and Modern. Our current course offerings are:

 

Beginning Dance I

Grades 9-12

No prerequisite

 

Dance II/ Honors Dance III

Grades 9-12

Prerequisite: Beginning Dance I and placement class for Dance II/Dance III. Students may take the placement class to place out of Dance I into a higher level

 

Honors Dance IV (RHS Dance Company)

Grades 9-12

Prerequisite: Placement Class

Placement based classes are held in the Spring of each school year. There is a seperate class for incoming Freshman if they choose to audition out of Dance I. The Placement Class date is in the Spring semester and is TBD.
